About NYCA Africa

The Network of Youth for Climate Action Africa (NYCA Africa) is a pan-African youth movement that promotes and provides youth-led organizations, individuals, and the wider public a platform to shape sustainable rural, regional, and national climate decisions and actions.
NYCA Africa envisions a future shaped by young people's passion, creativity, and commitment to protecting, conserving, and restoring the environment.
NYCA Africa aims to strengthen a youth network across Africa that pushes the public and private sectors toward greater climate ambition and concrete action. To achieve this, NYCA Africa works to partner with local organizations, schools, and government agencies to build youth knowledge on climate change, natural resources, and environmental issues, and channel that knowledge into real action. NYCA Africa aims to provide an official avenue for youth-led organizations, individuals and civil society organization to participate in concrete actions and policy despite their geographic location or resource constraints. At the same time, it aspires to be a hub to share resources and expertise and provide financial, technical and knowledge resources. We aim to contribute to building a unified and collaborative movement in Africa that delivers a high positive impact across Africa and the Global South.
